PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Four emergency medical technicians were hurt Monday night after a pair of FDNY ambulance drivers crashed into each other in Park Slope, sending one vehicle careening into the side of a nearby bank, according to reports and the FDNY.

The ambulance drivers collided about 10:25 p.m. near the corner of Union Street and Seventh Avenue, the FDNY said, reportedly causing one driver to crash into the side of a Bank of America at the intersection.

The fire department didn't further specify what caused the crash, saying it is under investigation.

All told, four EMTs were hurt in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries, according to the FDNY.

No civilians were hurt in the crash, the fire department said.

Photos and videos taken Monday night by passersby, and posted on the public safety website Citizen, show the hoods of both ambulances badly damaged.
