Barclays Center Shooting: Suspect Arrested After Weeklong Manhunt
Authorities took a 29-year-old man into custody.
PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Authorities have arrested who they say is the man who fired a gun in broad daylight outside of the Barclays Center last week, striking a 50-year-old man
Police on Thursday arrested 29-year-old Jonathan Cordoba, from Flatbush, and charged him with assault, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and attempted menacing with a weapon.
Cordoba fired what appeared to be handgun outside of the sports and concert arena shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14. A bystander, 50-year-old Elijah Ingram, was hit in the ankle, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

"I'm relieved that Mr. Ingram's injuries are not life-threatening," city Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo, whose district includes the arena, said at the time. "I'd also like to thank the NYPD for their immediate response to ensure public safety."
The shooting happened on the same day a gunman opened fire on a Congressional baseball practice in Virginia and a mass shooting at a UPS facility in San Francisco.
