PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Do you dream of chocolate-covered strawberries? Berryccino has you covered, too.

Husband and wife team Alex and Leyla Naghiyev have brought their online edible arrangement business to the streets of Park Slope, offering their chocolate-covered strawberries and floral bouquets to walk-in customers at seventh avenue and 15th street in Park Slope.

Business got so busy, Alex told Patch, that they had to get a storefront to handle the deluge of online orders. The space allows them to keep more flowers in stock as well as expanded refrigeration capacity for their chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Typically an order placed online will be ready the next day, Alex said, but the new spot allows for orders to be put together in 20-45 minutes, "depending on the size of the arrangement," Alex said.

"A lot of people want same-day arrangements," Alex said, "that's why we need the refrigeration for the flowers and for strawberries, and that's why we decided to open the store.

The Naghiyevs started their online biz in 2019 when they found it difficult to find a place to order a bouquet along with chocolates and strawberries, according to their website.

Since then, they have created a full line of imaginative chocolate-covered strawberries and flowers arranged in boxes, envelopes, baskets and other creative displays for a wide array of occasions.

The storefront also allows the Naghiyevs to expand their offerings. In addition to the flowers and chocolate-covered strawberries, shoppers can also find macarons, chocolate bars and hot chocolate bombs.

And Berryccino is still a family affair, Alex said, calling himself the manager, his wife the food florist and their two kids: "degustators," or tasters.
