Firefighters had just about brought the oven fire under control an hour later, around 8:30 p.m., an FDNY spokesman told Patch. At that time, there was "no more visible fire, just smoke," he said.

No one was injured in the fire, according to the FDNY.

The Maison Kayser on 3rd Avenue is founder Eric Kayser's first spot in NYC. It's famous for its fresh baguettes, fruity pastries and classic Parisian brunch spreads.

According to Twitter user Jen Stella, fire trucks were backed up for blocks around 3rd and 74th during the evening commute. (Video below.)
