Brooklyn Community Board Posts Listing To Replace Ousted Manager
Community Board 6 posted a job application for district manager after the former one left when he was accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend.

PARK SLOPE, NY — The local community board posted a job listing to replace their former district manager who resigned last year after he was accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend.
Community Board 6 put the job online last month to take over for Craig Hammerman who held the post for nearly 30 years until he left when he was arrested for stalking and harassment. The charges were later dropped by the District Attorney.
"This is great news for our Board and means that we are that much closer to having a full staff in our district office," board chair Sayar Lonial wrote in an email promoting the job listing on Thursday.

"The hard work that our district office staff has been undertaking has been much appreciated, but for BKCB-6 to be the great Board I know we can be and that each of you deserves, we need to fill the District Manager position."
The district manager supervises the staff and volunteers for the advisory board that covers Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Gowanus, Park Slope and Red Hook.

The job calls to make policy recommendations to board members, create agendas for meetings, attend meetings and more, according to the listing. It pays between $70,000 to $85,000 a year.
Hammerman resigned from the post in October after he was arrested twice for using his ex-girlfriend's Uber account to follow her to a hotel and breaking a restraining order she took out against him, police said.
He turned down several plea deals but the DA dropped the charges in October because the time period to prosecute the case was coming to an end and the woman did not want to pursue the charges, DNAinfo reported.
