Brooklyn Home To 6 Of NYC's Best Private Schools In 2022

BROOKLYN, NY — Six Brooklyn schools have been named one of the best private schools in the New York City area.

The six schools landed in the top 100 of Niche.com's ranking of the area's best private schools for 2022, which was released on Monday.

“Our 2022 rankings come at a time when so many parents are curious about the different options for their children’s education, including some they may never have considered before,” Niche CEO Luke Skurman said. “No matter where they are in their search process, we strive to be a reliable guide and resource. The title is not new for many of the schools on the list, including those in Brooklyn. All six of the Brooklyn schools that made it on the 2022 list were ranked in the top 100 last year as well.

Two Brooklyn schools, Xaverian High School and Yeshiva of Flatbush, were knocked out of the top 100 in this year's ranking. They were ranked 89th and 91st in the state last year.

The Best Private High Schools ranking is "based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents," including SAT and ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, private school ratings and more.

The data is sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche users, and the schools directly.
The top school in the New York City area for this year's ranking was Trinity School in Manhattan.
In Brooklyn, Saint Ann's in Brooklyn Heights got the top ranking, coming in at number 19 for the New York City area.
