There does not appear to be a catch.

PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN — Beginning Jan. 21, 2016, general admission to the Brooklyn Museum in northeast Prospect Park will be free to the public every Thursday night from 6 to 10 p.m.
This apparently catch-free deal is being comped by Squarespace, a tech company in SoHo that lets users build their own websites. (Much like Wix, Weebly, GoDaddy, etc.)

As such, the new program is called “Thursday Nights Hosted by Squarespace.”
Anthony Casalena, CEO and founder of Squarespace, sent out the following statement Tuesday:

“As a platform that supports great artists, innovators, and creative individuals, we are thrilled to partner with the Brooklyn Museum to offer free Thursday night admission at the Museum. One of the things that we attribute to our success is the culturally rewarding environment that New York City offers. I’m proud Squarespace is able to give back to our community.”
Tickets at the Brooklyn Museum normally cost $16 for adults and $10 for students or seniors. (Ages 19 and under get in free.)
A spokeswoman for the museum said admission will be free every Thursday night at least through the end of 2016, and hopefully beyond. “We’re hoping it will be a long-term partnership,” she said.
Here’s a list of all the exhibitions currently on display at the Brooklyn Museum — including Agitprop!, an exploration of various protest movements throughout history, and a ton of cool old pics from Coney Island.
