Brooklyn Pride Celebrates In Park Slope: Check Out Saturday's Events
A street festival, concerts and a 5K are all scheduled for Saturday, assuming wildfire haze doesn't smoke them out.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A veritable rainbow of Brooklyn Pride events is set to shine across Park Slope.
Saturday's lineup — from the Brooklyn Pride Festival to Main Stage performers to a 5K LGBTQIA+ fun run — is still going forward, although organizers told Patch they'll monitor air quality from Canadian wildfire smoke.
"Updates to Brooklyn Pride activities will be posted here," the group's site states.

Organizers canceled some Pride events Thursday because of poor air quality. But by Friday, air quality appeared to improve across the city, making it more likely that Pride's celebrations in and around Park Slope will blossom as planned.
Brooklyn Pride Saturday starts with a 5K run/walk in Prospect Park at 10 a.m., rain or shine. There is no same-day registration, so Patch readers who are interested and browsing this Friday can register here.

"You'll be joined by hundreds of runners from across NYC and beyond as you race through scenic and historic Prospect Park," the run/walk's site states.
The Brooklyn Pride Festival will follow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Fourth Street Plaza along Fifth Avenue.
The festival will have vendors from Brooklyn businesses, community groups and citywide organizations, as well as "Family Fun Zone at Old Stone House. The fun zone will feature family activities, music, face painting, arts and craft, story time and more, organizers said.
Fourth Street Plaza itself will host a main stage where hip-hop, rock and drag performers will belt out tunes from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
"In addition to the vendors, there will be a fabulous entertainment stage at 4th Street displaying local, national, and international talent!" the site states.
The lineup can be seen on Brooklyn Pride's Instagram page.
