Brooklyn Pride Day Is This Saturday In Park Slope

Here's what you need to know.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn Pride Day celebrations are coming to Park Slope on Saturday, featuring a parade, festival and "family fun zone."

The 21st annual Pride Day celebrations will shut down parts of Fifth Avenue and feature a host of city officials in attendance.

The event is being put on by Brooklyn Pride, an LGBT organization in the borough, along with the Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District.

Politicians in attendance will include Public Advocate Letitia James; NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer; NYC Council Members including Melissa Mark Viverito, Carlos Menchaca, Danny Dromm, Laurie Cumbo, Assemblyman Robert Carroll, Borough President Eric Adams.

Twilight Pride Parade: Fifth Avenue from Lincoln Place to Ninth Street; 7:30 p.m. start, 7:10 Pre-Parade of Politicos, Moment of Silence, Cheer by Cheer NY

-- Emceed by Louvel (shape shifting chanteuse) and Mark Nayden (co-owner of Excelsior and designer for film,TV and events) and led by Grand Marshal s Ron B (nationally known transgender actor/activist), Michael Camacho, MPH (Regional Director of AIDS Healthcare Foundation) and Sirens Women's Motorcycle Club (oldest and largest women's motorcycle club in NYC)

Multicultural Street Festival: Fifth Avenue from First to Ninth Streets; Noon to 5 p.m.

A cross-section of the borough's business, community and city-wide organizations bordered by two stages of music and entertainment featuring local, national and international talent

Family Fun Zone: The Old Stone House, J.J. Byrne Park, Fifth Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets, noon to 5 p.m.

Fun family activities, music, face painting, arts & crafts and more.
