Burgrito's Park Slope Shop Closed By Health Department
The restaurant, which serves a burrito and burger mash-up, was temporarily shuttered by the city after they found traces of mice inside.

PARK SLOPE, NY — The Fourth Avenue eatery that serves up a mash-up of a burger and burrito was shuttered by city health inspectors this week.
Burgrito's closed down for several days on Tuesday after Health Department inspectors found traces of mice inside the eatery and counters where food came in contact with weren't properly clean, city records show.
The chain's Brooklyn location reopened on Friday and its owner said the issues were contained to storage areas and offices.

"Recently, a small amount of activity was noted in a basement and non-food preparation storage area and office, and addressed," co-owner Lawrence Laby wrote in an email. "All areas of our restaurant regarding food safety and storage were satisfactory."
Burgrito's first opened in Long Island then expanded to the city with its 173 Fourth Ave. location in 2016, taking over the former Zuzu Ramen spot, DNAinfo reported.
