BROOKLYN, NY — Police found an unconscious, unresponsive man floating in the Gowanus Canal on Thursday, New York City Police Department officials said.
The man, 69, was found in the water at 2:03 p.m. near the corner of Nevins Street and Butler Street, police said.
The 69-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, and an investigation into his death is underway, officials said.
