Four New Restaurants To Check Out In Park Slope

A homemade pasta joint, a new pizzeria and more have opened recently in Park Slope.

PARK SLOPE, NY — Several new eateries have opened up around Park Slope recently including a spot with serving up pizzas made with barley dough and a bowl-eatery by the owner of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Here's a round-up of the new restaurants to check out around the neighborhood:

Mother Dough

Italian pastry chef Elisa Rizzi launched a new spot focusing on healthy pizza using naturally leavened dough in March, Bklyner reported. Mother Dough offers a variety of pies using whole wheat, gluten-free or barely dough.

Prices range from $18 to $23 a pie and include ones with burrata cheese and prosciutto on whole wheat dough and one with spinach and shrimp on barley dough, according to the menu. The space is open Monday through Sunday.


Terre

341 Fifth Ave., 718-788-2285

A restaurant focused on homemade pasta and natural wine took over the former Fifth Avenue storefront of L'Albero Dei Gelati late last month, Eater New York reported.

Terre, which means land in Italian, uses grains from the cities "Greenmarket Regional Grain Project" to make the flour for their pasta to serve up regional specialties like gnocchi with buffalo mozzarella and cacio e pepe, according to their menu.

The menu includes meat dishes like lamb chops and steak, brunch on the weekends and a selection of cheese and meats. Prices range from $17 to $28 for pasta dishes.

Terre is open Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays.


Bowl & Blade

The owner of Manhattan's famed Michelin-starred spot Junoon crossed the East River to open up a lunch bowl spot, Bowl & Blade, last month.

Bowl & Blade offers up a selection of bowls like Maui Style Poke, Korean BBQ, Al Pastor and more that can be customized with different grains, veggies and meats, according to their menu. Prices range from $12 to $14 for a bowl.

The eatery also serves up frozen yogurt, cold brew coffee and cold pressed juice. Bowl & Blade is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.


Bar Salumi

548 Fifth Ave., 718-635-3388

The former A&E Supply Co. on the Gowanus border reopened last month under a new name serving up Italian dishes, wines and meat, Bklyner reported.

Bar Salumi includes dishes like beef braciole, porchetta, tagliatelle in a lobster carbonara along with local brews and imported wine, according to the menu. Prices range from $8 to $28 for dishes at the small plate spot.

The spot first opened as a cafe, restaurant, bar, butcher shop, bakery and cheese shop in 2017 but shuttered in February to refocus it to become more a neighborhood restaurant.

Bar Salumi, which is owned by Enno Di Nino and former "Top Chef' contestant Adam Harvey, is open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner.
