New Voices in Black Cinema: Let’s Stay Together
Where/When: Brooklyn Academy of Music, 30 Lafayette Ave, Sunday, 9:30 p.m.
Why Go: “Let’s Stay Together,” directed by Joshua Bee Alafia, a young man embarks on a mission to better understand the role of black men and their families, after he has a premonition that a new Rev. Al Green album could save the family unit. Followed by a Q&A with the director.
