Why Go: This is a karaoke dance party for people who do not like karaoke. This weekly event is part singing and part dancing with some crowd surfing just for fun.

Where/When: Grand Army Plaza, Saturday at 8 a.m.

Why Go: Grab some fresh fruits, meats, seafood, veggies and wine at this year-round, weekly farmer's market. You can also drop off your textiles at GrowNYC's Textile Recycling and drop off your compost at GrowNYC Compost Collection.

Cost: Free!

Where/When: , 143 7th Ave, Saturday, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Because Jeff Ryan, author of “Super Mario: How Nintendo Conquered America,” will talk about video game history accompanied by long-time game reviewer Chris Plante, who is the editor of Voxgames and writes for 1up.com. There will also be Nintendo trivia, a Q&A, video game challenges and “nerdy snacks.”

Where/When: Park Slope, Sunday, Kick Off is at 6:30 p.m.

Where/When: Lincoln Road and Ocean Avenue, Sunday, 10 a.m.

Why Go: This is the perfect time of year to observe chickadees and titmice and early winter birds like Northern Shovelers and Dark-eyed Juncos. The walk is led by the Brooklyn Bird Club, meet at the Audubon Center.
