BROOKLYN, NY — Whether you're looking to show off a costume or sit back and watch a spooky movie, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween in Brooklyn.
Patch has compiled a list of Halloween events that will be held throughout the weekend. They include haunted musical performances, movie screenings, a monster-themed dance party and the annual Halloween parade in Park Slope, which is back for the first time since before the coronavirus pandemic.

Boo!KCM
"...The whole family is invited to the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (58 Seventh Ave in Park Slope) for Boo!KCM on Sunday, October 31 from 4-6pm. Come enjoy a ghoulish performance, a haunted musical garden and, of course, candy! This is a FREE celebration for the entire community, so be sure to make Boo!KCM a stop on your trick-or-treating route."
BKLYN BOO! BOOgie Wonderland
Halloween eve festivities featuring a public costume contest, DJ Boogie Blind (The X-Ecutioners) and the BOOgie Wonderland Wonders playing Earth Wind & Fire covers and other 70s Boogie hits. Saturday, Oct. 30. in Albee Square.

"When the Light Goes Out"
Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre presents "When the Light Goes Out: Spirits, Souls & Spooky Takes" at South Oxford Park on Fri 10/29 and Guyler Gore on Sunday. Suggested rating of PG-13.
Stuyvesant Heights Halloween Crawl
Check out the best Halloween decorations in the neighborhood with this annual event, which kicks off at 5 p.m. on Halloween. Block associations can email shparentsassociation@gmail.com to let the organization know if your block is participating. A QR code with the map of the crawl will be available in Fulton Park for participants to scan. Masks are required.
Myrtle Avenue Monster Mash Dance Party
"The Halloween Monster Mash Dance Party returns to the Myrtle Avenue Plaza this Halloween (October 31). There'll be costumes, music & dancing, giveaways, a selfie station from 4 to 6p.m.! Plus a special raffle, halloween hunt and storefront trick or treating all along Myrtle! Masks required."
Park Slope Fifth Avenue Halloween Fest
WHEN: 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30
WHERE: Park Slope 5th Avenue — starting between President and Carroll Street and ending in Washington Park
WHAT:
- 11:30 a.m. to noon: Pre-Parade Organizing with music by Rolie Polie Guacamole and activities from local businesses
- Noon: Parade Kick-off, ending on 4th Street at the Old Stone House in Washington Park
- 1 p.m.: The Neighborhood of Trees PUPPET PAGEANT w ith Theresa Linnihan from the Puppeteers Cooperative and kids from P.S. 107 and 350
- 2 p.m.: Costume Contest and Mini March at the Old Stone House
- 2 to 3 p.m.: Free activities continue
