Little Italy Pizzeria Relocates To Park Slope
Pomodoro Pizza served slices in Little Italy for decades, but after shuttering amid the pandemic it recently found a new home in Park Slope.
PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Park Slope just got a slice of Little Italy.
Pomodoro Pizza, a family-owned restaurant that got its start in lower Manhattan, recently relocated to Park Slope, celebrating the grand opening of its Fifth Avenue storefront this weekend.
The pizzeria, now located at 450 Fifth Avenue, stood on the corner of Mulberry and Spring streets for nearly 35 years before shuttering at the onset of the pandemic.

That Manhattan storefront has since been replaced with a local pizza chain, but — thanks to a new business partner — Pomodoro found a home in Park Slope, and is now serving slices from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
In addition to an array of classic pies and slices — like vodka, cheese, and margherita — the shop also makes specialty pizzas, including gluten free and vegan options, according to the online menu.

Pizza isn't the only Italian option at Pomodoro: the shop also serves heroes and rolls, with hearty options like meatball or eggplant parm and chicken vodka roll.
Pomodoro is also sharing a kitchen with Chicken Feastin, which specializes in meat platters as well as burgers and sandwiches, photos show.
The storefront was formerly the site site of a Mediterranean restaurant that briefly opened amid the pandemic.
It's also located across the street from a discount store-slash-gym that could soon be replaced with an apartment tower, Patch reported.
