Man Fatally Shot, Stabbed Near Barclays Center: Police

BROOKLYN, NY — A man was stabbed and shot to death near Barclays Center on Wednesday night, police said.

The 47-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and shot repeatedly in his upper body on Fourth Avenue near Atlantic Avenue, according to police.

He was found by authorities around 8:20 p.m. and taken to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. No one had been arrested in the killing as of Thursday morning, police told Patch.

An investigation was ongoing.

A photo taken by DNAinfo showed Thursday morning commuters walking over dried blood and crumpled police tape still on the sidewalk.
