Man Found Dead Inside Prospect Park, Police Say

PARK SLOPE, NY — A man was found dead inside Prospect Park on Saturday night, police said.

Officers found the unconscious 49-year-old man laying in a wooded area of the park near Ninth Street and Prospect Park West at about 7:18 p.m., the NYPD said.

The man had no obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced dead by emergency workers at the scene, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and his identity has not been released by police, the NYPD said.
