Man Slashed During Attempted Robbery In Prospect Park: NYPD
A man was injured in Prospect Park late last month when he was slashed with a box cutter during an attempted robbery, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for a man who slashed a 27-year-old in Prospect Park when the victim refused to hand over his valuables.
The 27-year-old was walking near the bandshell in Prospect Park—at Prospect Park West and 11th Street—around 6 p.m. on July 27 when a stranger approached him, according to the NYPD.
The man demanded the victim’s wallet, and when the victim refused, the attacker pulled out a box cutter and slashed the victim’s thigh, police said.

The robbery was unsuccessful, and the assailant fled empty-handed in an unknown direction, according to the NYPD.
Police said the victim was injured but did not specify whether he required medical assistance.
