Man Stabbed In Subway Attack Near Barclays Center, NYPD Says

BROOKLYN, NY — A man stabbed another man in the back on a Brooklyn train during the evening commute earlier this month, according to police.

A 35-year-old man was riding a northbound 4 train entering the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station when he and another man got into an argument, police said.

As they exited the train, the confrontation turned physical, and the victim was stabbed in the back with what police described as an unknown sharp object.

First responders brought the victim to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, in sable conditions, officials said.

The attacker left the scene on a northbound “4” train and got off at the Fulton Street station, police said.

Officials released surveillance stills of a man believed to be connected with the incident.

The suspect is estimated to be 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 140 pounds, police said. He was last seen dressed in a black sweater, black pants, a black hat, a black ski mask and white sneakers.
