Music Conservatory's 'House Party' Returns To Park Slope

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A "house party" celebrating music is on its way back to Park Slope this week.

The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will kick off its annual House Party fundraising event this Thursday, bringing a series of performances and other experiences to its Seventh Avenue brownstone and the surrounding streets.

The indoor-outdoor party will include more than 100 performers, food, drinks and "special surprises" between 7 and 10 p.m., according to organizers.

Funds raised through the event will benefit the conservatory's programs, including music education and therapy offered across the five boroughs.

WHAT: The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music’s (BKCM) 2021 House Party will be an indoor-outdoor benefit taking place throughout every story of BKCM’s gorgeous Park Slope home, including the outdoor gardens and neighboring streets. Guests will enjoy more than 100 performers, unique experiences, plus food, drinks, and special surprises.

WHO: Performances:

  • Classical Indian ensemble Brooklyn Raga Massive
  • Bollywood dance party led by Ajna Dance Company
  • Pat Benatar cover band Eggs Benatar
  • The all-Black string quartet Sterling Strings
  • Global dance grooves with People’s Champs
  • Brazillian choro with CĂ©sar Garabini
  • Showtunes Sing-Along
  • Video Game room featuring live accompaniment as guests play

WHY: Funds raised at the House Party support BKCM’s programs, including the community programs Music Partners and Music Therapy.

WHEN: Thursday, November 4 from 7-10pm (VIP hour begins at 6pm).

WHERE: Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (58 Seventh Ave Brooklyn, NY). Performances and experiences will take place throughout the building, in the outdoor gardens, and on the surrounding streets — including a Lincoln Place mainstage.
