BROOKLYN, NY — Park Slope has a new grocery destination as K Slope Market opens in the space long occupied by the neighborhood staple, Steve’s C-Town.

The new supermarket, which soft-opened earlier this week, takes over the 9th Street location that has served residents for decades.

Customers can now enjoy fresh produce, a butcher and fish counter, pantry staples, daily-baked breads, and freshly prepared sushi in the updated store, bringing a new era to the longtime neighborhood fixture.

According to officials, K Slope Market will also offer free local delivery once they open full-time in the new year.

The turnaround between the two stores came swiftly after news broke in September that Steve’s C-Town would be closing. The beloved neighborhood grocery had called its three-story building at 329 9th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues, home since 1970.
