Why prep your child for the NYS Common Core ELA Test?
The NYS Common Core ELA exams are so important and often difficult to prepare for that it is in your best interest to have your child start his/her own studies sooner rather than later.

As these exams become further aligned with the State and National Common Core Standards, much of what is taught in this class is beneficial not only to take off "teaching for the test," but will also help your child to succeed in the classroom. Start early and give your child the opportunity to truly develop and be prepared to excel on these tests.
For those applying to New York City's best public high schools (e.g. Townsend Harris High School, High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies, Baccalaureate School for Global Education) a high ELA score is essential because students are categorized into one of three groups based upon the results of their 7th grade standardized ELA test score.
General Overview of our Course:
Our NYS Common Core Intensive courses consist of 5 teaching sessions. Students will receive a thorough overview of all ELA content, be exposed to past tests and essay questions, and learn valuable test-taking strategies. We will cap each class at 5 students per teacher and open additional sessions if needed.
The course will be taught by teaching professionals who are familiar with the NYS Common Core standards and curriculum. Instructors have taught Common Core ELA in the classroom setting as well as a specific ELA test prep and have experience grading the tests. The bottom line: our instructors know the ins and outs of the test and can help students enter the exam with confidence.
We also supplement our materials with our fundamental skill-building enrichment programs when we see that a child may be lacking in important underlying skills. We also customize each child’s curriculum to meet the strengths and weaknesses of each individual student. This is what sets us apart from all of our competitors in this space and makes us by far the most comprehensive, tailored, and effective solution!
Homework is assigned to all students in order to follow up on what they learned at the center and to provide each student with more practice (progress) materials and workbooks/sheets outside the center.
By the time March rolls around, our students have a solid fundamental background in NYS Common Core ELA, with extensive experience answering both short response and extended response questions.
We accepted a limited number of students in each grade. Reserve your seat early!
