Park Slope Halloween Parade Returns With 'Magic Of Nature' Theme
The popular parade is back for the first time since before the coronavirus pandemic.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A long-held Halloween parade in Park Slope will return for the first time since before the coronavirus pandemic next week, organizers have announced.
The Fifth Avenue Halloween Fest, put on by the Park Slope Civic Council and other groups, will return Saturday, Oct. 30 complete with its costume parade and a line-up of performances.
The parade has been held in the neighborhood since 1986.

"It’s going to look a little different this year but no worries: we’re bringing the Parade back!" the civic council wrote on their website.
The festival will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fifth Avenue.

It will include musical performances, activities from local businesses, a puppet pageant, a costume contest and other festivities in addition to the parade, which will be held at noon, according to organizers.
Here's what you need to know about the event:
WHEN: 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30
WHERE: Park Slope 5th Avenue — starting between President and Carroll Street and ending in Washington Park
WHAT:
- 11:30 a.m. to noon: Pre-Parade Organizing with music by Rolie Polie Guacamole and activities from local businesses
- Noon: Parade Kick-off, ending on 4th Street at the Old Stone House in Washington Park
- 1 p.m.: The Neighborhood of Trees PUPPET PAGEANT w ith Theresa Linnihan from the Puppeteers Cooperative and kids from P.S. 107 and 350
- 2 p.m.: Costume Contest and Mini March at the Old Stone House
- 2 to 3 p.m.: Free activities continue
