PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A Park Slope-area barbecue spot just got thrown a big culinary bone.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is one of New York City's "22 Essential Barbecue Restaurants," according to a new list by Eater.

Astute Slopers may quibble that the barbecue chain's Brooklyn location is technically in Gowanus, just over Fourth Avenue where Park Slope ends.

But (hopefully) good-natured neighborhood boundary ribbing aside, the Union Street restaurant is well-known and well-attended by Park Slope barbecue aficionados.

"Go for the pork ribs, baked beans, and, best of all, Syracuse salt potatoes," the list implores hungry New Yorkers.

The chain — "one of the more established barbecues in NYC," the list states — also has locations near Columbia University in Manhattan, as well as upstate.

For the uninitiated and omnivorous (at least when it comes to preferences over best regional barbecue), the Eater list points out Dinosaur Bar-B-Que doesn't settle on a single style.
