Park Slope Mugger Still Attacking Brooklyn Seniors, Police Say
Cops believe the man who robbed a 91-year-old Park Slope woman at gunpoint in early March has attacked at least four more seniors this year.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — The man who police believe robbed a 91-year-old Park Slope woman at gunpoint in early March has been linked to four other recent attacks, according to the NYPD.
The mugger has attacked three more elderly women in their 70s and 80s from Kensington, Prospect Heights, Park Slope and Ridgewood in Queens, police said Sunday.
In his latest suspected attack, on the afternoon of Saturday, March 26, the suspect followed his 83-year-old victim into her building, located near the intersection of Ocean Parkway and Beverly Road in Kensington, according to the NYPD.
The suspect knocked on her door, police said, and struck her in the face with a hard object when she opened it. He then fled the scene without taking anything.

A similar scene unfolded on March 19, according to the NYPD, when the suspect followed a 43-year-old man into his building, located near the intersection of Prospect Place and Carlton Avenue in Prospect Heights.
The suspect demanded money from the man before threatening an 81-year-old woman in the building with a gun and a box cutter. He fled the building with about $330, according to authorities, but did not injure either of the building residents.

Before that, on February 11 in Park Slope, police said the same man followed a 71-year-old woman into her apartment near Prospect place and 6th Avenue — then "attempted to tie her up, displayed a firearm and struck her on the left side of the lip causing a laceration." He allegedly stole $375 from the woman before fleeing east on Prospect Place.
(All of the above listed attacks occurred in the 66th and 78th police precincts. According to official police statistics, through March 20, major crimes in the 66th were down nearly 12 percent compared to the same period last year, and down nearly 29 percent in the 78th.)
Additionally, the Park Slope mugger is suspected of using a knife and gun to steal $800 from two seniors inside their Ridgewood, Queens, apartment building on January 20. That incident took place near the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Weirfield Street, near Bushwick.
This weekend, the NYPD released new security camera footage of the suspect from March 26.
Police believe the man in the video was responsible for the March 2 assault of 91-year-old Park Slope resident Elizabeth Gioino.
Following that attack, a group of Brooklyn office holders held a Park Slope press conference calling for the suspect's arrest. At the event, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams pledged $1,000 of his own money to a reward fund for information related to the crimes.
The NYPD's reward stood at $2,500 as of March 28.
Detectives said their main suspect is a man between 40 and 60 years old, around 5-feet-10-inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket.
