PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A Park Slope nanny is in critical condition after pushing a 1-year-old out of the path of a pick-up truck earlier this week, according to police.

Arcellie "Celi" Muschamp was pushing the 1-year-old in a stroller across Union Street on Monday morning when a Dodge Ram truck making a left onto the street from Fifth Avenue crashed into her, according to police and a GoFundMe set up by the baby's parents.

"Our son Rowan was amazingly unscathed in the incident and based on eyewitness accounts Celi helped save him from almost-certain serious injury or death by pushing his stroller out of harm's way as the vehicle approached," Rowan's father, Patrick Mullen, wrote. "The doctors have called it a miracle and Celi is truly our hero."

Muschamp, who is 52, was taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition after the crash, according to police. Her family said Wednesday she is "resting peacefully" in a medically-induced coma recovering from brain trauma, according to the fundraiser.

There had been no arrests in the crash, which the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is looking into, as of Thursday morning.

The 68-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram stayed at the scene after the collision, police said.

The fundraiser had raised nearly $59,000 for Muschamp's medical care as of Thursday morning, just a day after it was set up.

"She needs all of our prayers at the moment and if you are able to make a financial contribution of any sort it will go a long ways towards ensuring she receives the medical care she deserves," Mullen wrote. "Celi is also a loving wife, mother, and sibling who has been a resident of the Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn for many years."
