Here's two great events for folks, frights and families to attend:

The Brooklyn Music School Monster Bash

Started in 2013, the BMS Monster Bash has been bringing frights and spooks to Park Slope for nearly a decade. Emery Major told Patch that this year will be a little bit scaled down — except when it comes to the fun.

There will be performances by students at the school, showcasing the pieces they're working on, as well as a talent show and a costume contest.

Additionally, expect to find prizes, candy and what Major calls a "Spooky Room" (like a small haunted house), for those looking to get a little scared.

The event is free but the school suggests a $10 donation.

Here's what you need to know:

WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 30th at 3:30 p.m.

WHAT: Talent show and performances begin at 4:00 p.m.

The 2022 Park Slope Halloween Parade

An event with little need for introduction, the parade is back a year after its triumphant return last fall.

The parade has been held in the neighborhood since 1986. This year's theme is "Local Heroes."

Sponsored by the Park Slope Civic Council, Park Slope Parents, New York Presbyterian, the Fifth Avenue BID and Old Stone House, the fun begins with trick or treating at 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The parade starts lining up at 6 p.m. at Seventh Avenue and 14th Street before marching to the Old Stone House at Fifth Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets.

The parade marches from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
