Park Slope Thai Restaurant Is One Of City's Most 'Thrilling': Ranking
Bangkok Degree is a "hidden gem," according to Eater. Two other Thai eateries near Park Slope also made the site's top 25 list.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A Park Slope Thai restaurant is not only a "hidden gem," but also of New York City's best, according to a new ranking.
Bangkok Degree made Eater's "25 Thrilling Thai Restaurants in New York City."
The site's entry was equal measures sweet toward Bangkok Degree and spicy toward Park Slope's Thai food offerings in general.

"This hidden gem is the best Thai restaurant Park Slope has yet fielded, though the neighborhood has long had many agreeable places with uninspiring menus," the entry states.
The duo behind the Union Street eatery near Seventh Avenue — and across the street from the Park Slope Food Coop — received high praise from Eater.

One chef, Chusak Srithongsul, ran a restaurant in Thailand that highlighted grandmother recipes, the entry notes. The other chef, Wirot Sirimatrasit, had worked in Elmhurst's Thai scene, it states.
"The result is a menu with street food from Bangkok, regional recipes from around the country, and invented dishes," the entry states.
And, while not strictly Park Slope, two nearby Thai restaurants also made Eater's list.
Nuaa Table in Prospect Heights got notice for its "colorful bistro flourishes," inventive dishes and street food selections. The eatery is located at the Vanderbilt Avenue and Bergen Street intersection.
And Ugly Baby in Carroll Gardens is simply "one of the best Thai spots in town," according to the list.
