Pedestrian Stabbed In Park Slope, Police Say

BROOKLYN, NY — An unknown man stabbed a pedestrian near Grand Army Plaza around 9 p.m. Tuesday night, New York City Police Department officials said.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was walking northbound on 7th Avenue when the unknown perpetrator approached, stabbing the victim once in the chest with a black-handled knife before fleeing southbound on 7th Avenue.

The stabbing took place in the vicinity of 54 7th Ave., police said.

The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital by emergency responders and is in stable condition, according to NYPD officials.

Police described the perpetrator as a 5'9" man with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a dark grey sweatshirt, a black hat and dark-colored pants.

As of Wednesday morning, there are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
