Man Hit By Train In Park Slope, Prompting Delays: MTA

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A man was hit by a train in a Park Slope subway station Wednesday evening as the MTA warned of R line delays caused by people on the track, officials said.

A man was hit by a train at the station on Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street shortly after 5 p.m., police said.

The MTA reported unauthorized people on the track prompted R train delays, according to an official tweet.

Neither the NYPD, FDNY, and MTA could immediately confirm to Patch how many people were on the tracks, how they got there or what condition they were in.

As a result of the incident, D, N, and R trains were not running along Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn in either direction at the time of publication, the MTA announced.

Commuters should expect "significant" delays on all of those lines in both directions, the transit agency said.
