Man Hit, Killed By Train At Union St. Station

The man was hit Wednesday afternoon.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A man was hit and killed by a train at the Union Street subway station on Fourth Avenue in Park Slope on Wednesday afternoon, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.

The man was on the southbound R train platform and was hit by a train, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. It's unclear whether he slipped or jumped; no criminality is suspected, police said.

No other details about the death were immediately available.

Southbound R trains were running express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to 36th St, and delays were expected on the D, N and R lines, according to the MTA.
