Photo of the Day: Rings on Fallen Tree on Eighth Ave.

After Post-Sandy cleanup efforts, all that is left from this 30-year-old tree that fell during the hurricane's strong winds is a stump. 

This tree, on Eighth Ave. and Montgomery Pl., was ripped from the ground and smashed a street light on its way down to the ground. Counting the rings of the tree, one ring per year, Park Slope Patch counted that this tree is about 30 years old.
