A crook stole gold jewelry from a woman’s hotel room on Third Avenue sometime between March 16 and 17.
The 32-year-old victim told police that she was staying at La Quinta Inn, between 13th and 14th streets, and left her a gold chain and a medallion with diamonds on the night stand while she went out from March 16 at around 6:40 p.m. through March 17 at around 3:23 p.m. When she returned, the jewelry was gone. The manager told her that two security guards were in her room to shut off the TV. The crooks got away with a total of $2,500 worth of gold and diamond jewelry.Â

Bad Night Stand
A man woke up in his Eighth Avenue apartment to realize the stranger he brought back home from a bar burglarized his home, stealing his iPhone, iPad, credit card and cash on March 15.
The 40-year-old victim told police that he was at a bar in Manhattan when he brought a stranger he just met back to his apartment between Lincoln and Berkeley places, at around 10 p.m. on March 15. When he woke up the next day at around 10 a.m., his guest was gone and he realized his iPhone, iPad, credit cards, €30 (Euros), and $60 cash were missing. The victim told police he doesn’t remember much and cannot describe the crook or provide other details. The crook also made fraudulent charges on his Amex card.Â
