Police Blotter: Thief Snatches Woman's iPhone at Barclays Center During Marc Anthony

Crook Steals Cell Phone and Green Card from Concert Goer
A quick-handed crook stole a woman’s iPhone, green card, MetroCard, and credit card while at Barclays Center Feb. 16.

The 27-year-old victim told police that she was at Barclays Center for a Marc Anthony concert when she left her wallet near her seat to go to the bathroom at around 11 p.m. When she returned shortly after, he found that someone had stolen her wallet. The crook got away with her iPhone, green card, MetroCard, and credit card.Â

Police arrested a 51-year-old crook for stealing almost 40 watches from a department store in the Atlantic Center Mall, worth $1,155 on Feb. 19.
An employee of Target told police that the crook, a 51-year-old man, removed 36 watches from the store at around 10:45 p.m. and left without paying. The employee said that the estimated cost of the watches is $1,155. Police arrested the crook shortly after the crime.Â
Purse Snatch at MarshallsÂ
A crook stole a woman’s purse, getting away with over $800 in cash and belongings, while shopping at a department store in the Atlantic Center Mall Feb. 21.
The 35-year-old victim told police that she was shopping at Marshalls and placed her purse under the shopping cart at around 6:30 p.m. and walked through the store. At around 7 p.m., she realized her purse was gone. The crook got away with a yellow leather purse, a leather bag, electronic dictionary, a print dictionary, monthly MetroCard, English textbook, makeup, three credit cards, and $120 cash.Â
Side View CriminalÂ
A crook stole a side view mirror from a woman’s car parked on the Eastern Parkway Feb. 20.
The 44-year-old victim told police that she parked her Mercedes Benz on the northeast corner of Eastern Parkway and Flatbush Avenue at around 8 a.m. on Feb. 20. When she returned to get her car the same day at 3 p.m., the side view mirror was missing. The crook got away with the mirror, worth $1,243.Â
