Police Blotter: Three Homes Burglarized for Laptops on April 29
Three different homes were burglarized the same day for laptops.

Laptop Swiped from Berkeley Place Apartment Â
A burglar broke into a Berkeley Place apartment and stole a laptop April 29. Â
The 30-year-old victim told police that she left her apartment, between Sixth and Seventh avenues, at 9:30 a.m. and went to work. When she returned home at 10 p.m. that night, she found that someone had broken her front door open and ransacked her apartment. The burglar got away with a Toshiba computer, worth $950. Â
Another Burglary and Laptop Swipe Â
A burglar broke into a Union Street apartment and stole two laptops on April 29. Â
The 40-year-old victim told police that she left her apartment, between Fifth and Sixth avenues, at 2:30 p.m. and locked her door. When she returned at 10:25 p.m., she found the front door lock broken and two laptops missing from inside her home. The crook got away with an Apple MacBook Pro and an Acer laptop. Police interviewed neighbors and one stated that their front door lock was damaged, but it was still intact and nothing was stolen.
A Third Burglary for a Laptop Â
A burglar broke into a Fourth Avenue apartment and stole a laptop April 29. Â
The 52-year-old victim told police that she left her apartment, between Douglass and Butler streets, at around 2 p.m., locked her front door but did not use the deadbolt for she was standing outside on the street in front of her building at the time. She went back upstairs 30 minutes later and found that someone had broken into her apartment and stole her laptop. Cameras in front of the building show a black man, around 32-years-old, standing 5-feet with short hair and wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans, leaving the building with her laptop.Â
