Police Search For Man Who Punched A 74-Year-Old In Sunset Park

The victim tapped the back of the car to indicate he was walking behind it when the driver jumped out of the car and started punching him.

BROOKLYN, NY — The police are looking for a perpetrator who they say punched a 74-year-old man in the head several times before driving off in an unknown car last month.

According to an investigation by the New York City Police Department, the victim was walking in front of 6010 8th Ave. in Sunset Park on Aug. 18 around 4 p.m. when a man put his car in reverse and began to move.

The victim tapped the back of the car to indicate he was walking behind it when the driver jumped out of the car and punched the victim in the head and face multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground.

Then, the man drove away in an unknown direction, and emergency responders took the victim to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn. The victim survived the attack.
