PARK SLOPE, NY — With temperatures rising, Prospect Park is already regaining its hot, summer glory — and the park's newly released summer schedule promises a wide range of performances, cultural celebrations, markets and free programming.

BRIC in early May announced the much-anticipated and star-studded lineup for its July festival in Prospect Park — notably including Anderson .Paak.

But the festival was just a taste of the wide-ranging, and largely free, event lineup headed to Brooklyn's Backyard starting in June.

The long summer of celebration starts with a month-long commemoration of Juneteenth and Caribbean-American Heritage Month — including cooking demonstrations, DJs and live performances.

Other fan-favorites have returned to Prospect Park for the summer, like Smorgasburg, serving up dozens of food vendors every Sunday through October.
