PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Starting Monday, sections of Prospect Park's West Drive will be closed to bikes and pedestrians while two miles of the path are resurfaced, according to the DOT.

The work site stretches from Grand Army Plaza to Park Circle. Construction will run from March 28 through about April 8, depending on the weather, the DOT said.

This is the first resurfacing West Drive has received in 12 years, according to the department.

The DOT will also be drawing new lines for bikers and pedestrians.

The road will reopen to pedestrians and cyclists after the work is completed, according to a DOT spokeswoman. Cars have been banned from West Drive since July 2015.
