Serial Slasher Who Killed Elderly Man Near Park Slope At-Large: Cops
A suspect in a Saturday slashing — Joevani Vale, 26 — is believed to be connected to the stabbing death of an 83-year-old man, cops said.

BOERUM HILL, BROOKLYN — An 83-year-old man was fatally stabbed inside a Boerum Hill apartment amid what authorities believe was a serial slashing spree by a suspect who remains on the loose.
The violent spree unfolded within one hour Saturday along Nevins Street near Park Slope and ended with the death of Ramon Cintron, 83, inside the Wyckoff Gardens apartment building, police said.
Police told Patch they believe a suspect in another nearby slashing — Joevani Vale, 26 — is connected to Cintron's death.

Vale remains on the loose and wanted in connection to a slashing Saturday about 1:30 p.m. at 134 Nevins Street, near Dean Street, authorities said. A man — Vale, according to police — slashed a 31-year-old woman in her right thigh, NYPD officials said.
Medics took the woman to Methodist Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Within the hour, NYPD officers responded to another slashing about three blocks away, authorities said.
Cops found Cintron unconscious inside 185 Nevins Street, near Baltic Street, about 2:20 p.m. with stab wounds to his neck and right arms, police said.
Medics pronounced Cintron dead at the scene, authorities said.
Cintron had just returned from the hospital for pacemaker-related issues and scored a lottery win on his way home before the fatal attack, the New York Daily News and New York Post respectively reported.
Vale lives in the same Wyckoff Gardens apartment building and was long a source of fear for residents, the Daily News reported. He has three past arrests, including for slashing a stranger in 2020, the Post reported.
