Show Your Park Slope Love By Becoming A Patch Mayor

Sign up to become a Patch Mayor to share stories and celebrate Park Slope.

PARK SLOPE, NY — Do you love Park Slope so much you want to write about it? Well, now's your chance.

Patch recently launched a new program giving local residents the chance to contribute to our hyperlocal coverage of Park Slope by becoming a Patch Mayor.

Reporters at Patch will still keep up their day-to-day coverage of neighborhoods around the city, but now with a little help from residents. Locals are often the first to find out which restaurants are closing down, what events are happening this week, what new developments are coming, so why not share that with the rest of the city?

Patch Mayors will be able to:

  • Spread the word to your neighbors and fellow residents about charity events, local celebrations, civic issues, big games, that great new store or restaurant in town, people worth knowing — and more — through your articles.
  • Guide local conversations at the host of your Patch.
  • Reach your neighbors and fellow residents through daily newsletters and social media.
  • Earn the recognition of your Patch community.

The ideal candidate is a civic-minded, sociable resident who's plugged into what people in Park Slope are saying and doing. They live to write, are active on social media and want to share the stories of their neighborhoods while guiding community conversation. A Patch Mayor is a trusted contributor who's curious about the people, places, events and news that make a place unique.
