Man Killed Outside Park Slope Smoke Shop, Cops Say

A perceived slight over the smoke shop's open door spurred a fatal fight on Fourth Avenue Tuesday night, according to police and reports.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A man was stabbed to death in a Park Slope smoke shop over a simple act of courtesy: holding open a door, according to police and the Daily News.

The two men began arguing over the impolite gesture inside a smoke shop near Fourth Avenue and President Street about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, according to police and the Daily News.

The pair left the store and one man stabbed another in the neck and abdomen, police said.

First responders rushed the 37-year-old victim to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he later died, according to officials.

The suspect sped way on an e-bike, headed southbound on Fourth Avenue, police said.

A Daily News source said the suspect was wearing a black jacket, white shirt and black jeans and had a black book bag.

Police say there have been no arrests and that the investigation is still ongoing.
