A teacher at Park Slope Collegiate was threatened by students after she accused the principal of communist organizing.

PARK SLOPE, NY — Students threatened to break a Park Slope teacher's knees after she accused their principal of communist organizing inside the high school, the New York Daily News reported.

A group of students at Park Slope Collegiate threatened to harm English teacher Colleen Siegel in text messages because she reported the school's principal, Jill Bloomberg, for political organizing, Siegel told the paper.

"Pop her kneecaps," a student wrote in the messages, according to the paper.

"Break the other [knee]," another one wrote.

Siegel reported Bloomberg for communist organizing at the 237 Seventh Ave. school in 2016 but Bloomberg was cleared of the charges in August, the Daily News reported. After the complaint, parents, teachers and students loyal to Siegel started to harass her.

"It’s hurtful because those are hurtful, ugly words," Siegel told the Daily News. "Even if this was not intended as a threat to me directly, it’s beyond the bounds."

Bloomberg told the paper she didn't know of any threats made against Siegel and the teacher has made several other unfounded reports on her.
