2 Women Attacked In Atlantic Avenue Subway During Rush Hour: Cops
One woman was slashed and another punched when a man attacked in the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center station Wednesday evening, officials said.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A razor-wielding straphanger slashed one woman in the face and punched another in unprovoked attack at the Barclays Center subway Wednesday evening, police said.
The two women, ages 30 and 47, were attacked within the transit hub at Atlantic and Flatbush avenues about 6 p.m., police said.
The man first slashed the 30-year-old, who was waiting on the northbound 5 train platform, then punched the 47-year-old on the station's mezzanine, police said.

Police described the suspect as a man in his 40s, dressed in all black and with dreadlocks.
He left the station after the attacks and the investigation is still ongoing, according to officials.

Medics rushed the 30-year-old was taken to Brooklyn Hospital and the 47-year-old to Brooklyn Methodist, police said. Both were in stable condition.
Central Brooklyn has seen a number of blade-based subway attacks in the past week alone.
On Monday, a man was stabbed inside an early morning Manhattan-bound 2 train in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. And a week earlier, a man was stabbed on a midday Manhattan-bound 2 train in Park Slope.
