Summer Movie Nights Return To Prospect Park: Here's The Line-Up
Get your picnic blankets ready — the "Summer Movie Under the Stars" events will kick off next week.

PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN — Nothing says summer like a movie night in the park.
Prospect Park will bring back its "Summer Movie Under the Stars" movie series next week, gearing up for four consecutive Thursday-night movies on the Long Meadow.
This year, the outdoor movie series, presented by SHOWTIME, will feature a line-up of feel-good favorites aimed at inspiring nostalgia in fans of all ages, according to organizers.

"The themes throughout deal with connectivity, perseverance, friendship, self-empowerment, creativity and fantasy—exactly what everyone needs right now," according to the Prospect Park Alliance.
The movie nights will kick off this upcoming Thursday, July 29, and run through Aug. 19 at the north end of the meadow. Each showing will begin shortly after sundown.

Brooklyn Magazine, Prospect Park Alliance and the office of the Brooklyn Borough President are hosting the series.
Here's a look at the schedule:
July 29: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales suddenly develops mysterious powers after a radioactive spider bite. Miles transforms into Spider-Man, but there’s an interdimensional twist when he learns that he is not alone with his otherworldly gifts.
August 5: The Goonies (1985)
A group of young misfits discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate's long-lost treasure in this Richard Donner and Steven Spielberg classic.
August 12: Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
The crew is back, but the game has changed. As they return to rescue one of their own, the Jumanji players will have to brave parts unknown from arid deserts to snowy mountains, to escape the world's most dangerous game.
August 19: Black Panther (2018)
T'Challa, heir to the advanced yet hidden kingdom of Wakanda, must step forward to lead his people into a new future and must confront a challenger from the past.
