Park Slope Smoke Shop Stabbing Update: Man Sought By Police, NYPD Says
Police want to speak to Edwin Pedroza after a fatal stabbing in a Park Slope smoke shop, spurred by absent thanks for an act of courtesy.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Police investigating a fatal stabbing in a Fourth Avenue smoke shop are looking for a man in connection with the crime, the NYPD announced Tuesday night.
Edwin Pedroza, 42, is being sought in connection to the stabbing, officials said in a release Tuesday night.
NYPD representatives could not confirm if the man had any arrest history or where a released photograph of Pedroza was sourced.

The stabbing occurred on Fourth Avenue and President Street on Sept. 20 after Joan Nunez, 37, confronted a man who declined to thank him for holding the door, according to police and reports.
Nunez fought with with the man, who can be seen whipping out a long knife, inside the store, according to surveillance video.

The victim then followed his soon-to-be stabber outside, pushed over his bike and then slapped him the face right, video uncovered by the Daily News shows.
A bloodied Nunez staggers as the suspect sped south down Fourth Avenue, the video shows.
Nunez was taken to Brooklyn Methodist where he later died, police said.
