Two Park Slope Eateries Named Among Best Italian Restaurants In City
Up for some orecchiette with pork and wilted greens? How about northern Italian pastas? See what two Park Slope got top marks from Eater.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A pair of Park Slope restaurants' picture perfect pastas and indulgent Italian eats are among the best in the city, according to a new ranking.
Al Di La Trattoria and Fausto made Eater's list of "NYC's 22 Top Italian Restaurants" updated this week.
As the list noted, there is plenty of competition in the birthplace of red-sauce Italian American cooking. True pasta aficionados, however, know both Park Slope eateries are truly a cut and twirl above.

The simple-leaning dishes at Fausto on Flatbush Avenue are popular among both solo eaters and big group, the list states.
"The warm, orange-hued space of Fausto features a menu from chef and owner Erin Shambura that rotates regularly based on the nearby Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket — though the crowd-favorite pasta, an orecchiette with pork and wilted greens, is usually available," the list states.

Al Di La over on Fifth Avenue is worth the wait for a table at peak hours, Eater's ranking states.
"The dark, cozy space of Al Di La has been a Park Slope favorite since 1998, both as a dining destination for Anna Klinger’s northern Italian pastas and as a go-to for locals around dinner," the list states. "Go for the spaghetti neri all chitarra (black spaghetti with octopus confit, basil, and hot chile peppers) and tagliatelle if it’s a first-time visit, but know that there’s plenty else to explore."
