Absent 'Thank You' Spurred Fatal Park Slope Stabbing: Report

A fatal fight captured on video began when one man held open a smoke shop door and the second failed to say thanks, the Daily News reports.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN —An argument over absent thanks claimed the life of the man stabbed to death outside a Park Slope smoke shop earlier this week, according to a new report.

The fight on Fourth Avenue and President Street Tuesday night began when a man who held open the door for a fellow customer didn't receive a thank you in return, the Daily News reports.

The 37-year-old victim said, “you didn’t even say thank you,” to which the soon-to-be stabber replied, "I didn't ask you to hold it," reports the Daily News.
