Woman Raped In Brutal Attack Near Green-Wood Cemetery: NYPD
An as-yet-unidentified man pushed a 49-year-old woman to the ground, threatened her and raped her March 18, police said.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — An as-yet-unidentified man brutally attacked and raped a 49-year-old woman near Green-Wood Cemetery over the weekend, police said.
The rape unfolded March 18 about 3 a.m. when the woman walked near Fifth Avenue and 27th Street and was approached by a man who struck up a conversation, authorities said.
The man then pushed the woman to the ground, threatened her and pulled her into a nearby driveway, where he raped her, police said. He punched her when she refused to perform further sexual acts, authorities said.

Police said the man ran off east along 27th Street before he turned north on Fifth Avenue.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for her injuries, police said.

The suspect was described by authorities as a man with a medium build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black bubble coat, black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
