Is This Your Car? If So, It Was Smashed by a Hit-and-Run School Bus in Park Slope

One friendly Park Slope neighbor watched this Nissan rammed repeatedly by a yellow school bus last week.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Greetings, neighbors. A goodhearted Park Slope resident named Richard Ryea has provided us, this breezy Hump Day, with the above photo of a fairly expensive-looking vehicle — one which he says his wife watched being crushed within an inch of its life last week by a full-sized yellow school bus.

The school bus driver "tried to make a turn" at 2nd Street and Prospect Park West last Friday, July 15, around 6:23 a.m., Ryea said.

"When he couldn't make the turn," Ryea said, "he backed into the car two or three times."

Ryea's wife was quick enough to jot down the bus' information. She said it was a private bus with the company Allied Transit — number 2307, route SK-097.

And the car on the receiving end of its fury, which appears to be a Nissan Skyline GT-R, had a New York license plate with the number FDF3426.

"The first time the bus driver hit the car was probably a mistake," Ryea told Patch. "But the second one was pretty obvious, because it was such a crash."
